National Prescription Drug #TakeBackDay–happening Saturday, October 29th, 10am-2pm. Get information and find a collection site near you: www.DEATakeBack.com.
#TakeBackDay is an event created by the Drug Enforcement Administration – DEA to show their commitment to Americans’ safety and health. It encourages the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes to prevent medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
The DEA and local law enforcement partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illicit drugs will not be accepted. DEA will accept vaping devices and cartridges provided lithium batteries are removed.
