The Light House serves women who are struggling with trauma, substance abuse disorders, mental health challenges, domestic violence, homelessness or other cyclical crisis situations that require stabilization. We serve up to 8 women (and their children) at a time in this 9-to-12-month transitional housing program. We have in-house programming that includes strength-based, client-focused case management, a curriculum of classes, peer to peer activities, 24-hour support and more. Further, the women receive mental health services and medical care through our current committed partners, Catholic Medical Center’s Healthcare for the Homeless Program and Amoskeag Health. Other community partners include, but are not limited to Families in Transition, Greater Manchester Mental Health Center, Granite YMCA, NH Workforce Development, Southern New Hampshire Services and more than 15 local churches.

At Live Free Recovery we believe that initiating recovery should not be the ultimate goal but a means to the life you want. We guide you through the steps needed to establish and achieve personal, academic, social and occupational goals as you move forward in your life and your recovery.

Traditional treatments “teach” you how to get sober then send you on your way. Our unique clinically supported peer recovery options means you work together with a clinician and a peer support. There is no gap between treatment and how it is applied in the real world. As goals are developed with your clinician you are implementing them with your recovery coach. And with 24-hour access to our staff, there is always someone available should you need guidance

Provides adult day health services specializing in providing culturally effective clinical care in a social environment. The goal of this program is to improve the physical and emotional wellbeing of participants. Assistance is provided to all adults, regardless of language.

The City of Manchester’s Welfare Department provides financial assistance to those individuals and families in our community who are financially unable to meet their basic need expense such as: food, housing, medications, utilities.

MCRCnh is a 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Based Development Organization with a mission of assisting low-income individuals, new Americans, people with disabilities, individuals with limited English proficiency, families receiving public assistance, and/or individuals facing multiple barriers with achieving their financial and personal goals.  Programs are designed to assist in improving the overall standard of living by providing access to employment, education, life skills training, information, referrals, care coordination and other supportive services including notary, copying, scanning, faxing and access to public computers – equipped with the internet, resume writing software, typing tutorial, on-line career exploration and MSOFFICE.

Provides medication-assisted treatment and counseling for adults age 18+ who have developed an addiction to heroin, fentanyl, prescription painkillers, or other opioids.

Manchester Fire Department provides the City of Manchester with superior customer service and integrated emergency response to any situation that threatens the life, safety and wellbeing of people and property.

The Manchester Health Department oversees all the city services that work to improve the health of individuals, families, and the community through disease prevention, health promotion, and protection from environmental threats. The department has specific initiatives connected to prevention including the Neighborhood Health Improvement Strategy, Weed and Seed, Blueprint for Violence Prevention, and the Community Schools project.
