June 07th, 2023 marked the launch of the Wellness on Wheels 2023 summer series (WOW’23). Makin’ It Happen is leading the coordination and logistics in partnership with Amoskeag Health to bring this partner sponsored, community focused event to Manchester. The first event took place at Gossler Park School, with 31 organizations coming together to provide information and resources. Be sure to make your calendars for the next events happening on June 27th, August 1st, and August 16th, at various locations- see below.

A fun feature of WOW’23 is the opportunity to win a raffle basket. Passports are provided to everyone attending, completed passports will be entered into the raffle drawing. The passports are designed to encourage those attending to visit all participating partner stations to learn about their services or programs and to get their passports stamped. Raffle baskets are filled to the brim with hygiene & cleaning supplies, summer games, and more. Included were name brands such as Tide, Spic&Span, Scott, Hefty, Cutter, Coppertone, and a $50 Market Basket gift card! Our employees packed it full of goods for the whole family and got to deliver it to the winner from the first WOW’23 event.
This year one of our recovery partners, HOPE for Recovery, joined our logistics team and is assisting with tent setup and breakdown. Pop-up tents are a new element this year, teaming up with HOPE for Recovery is proving to be a massive help – the pop-up tents are providing shade, and helping our partners with easy set up. The Makin’ It Happen team would like to thank every volunteer and partner that contributed to the success of the event, including the youth that worked at the Makin’ It Happen station; Andy, Bellamae, Chelsea, Kailia, and Mason.
Preparations are already underway for the second WOW’23 event this season at Brookside Church on Elm St. in Manchester. If you missed the first, or you want another chance to win our raffle basket, we will be there from 4-6pm and look forward to seeing you there!
