The Granite YMCA is focused on working with kids whose lives are complicated by risk factors including poverty, exposure to violence, substance abuse, poor school performance, engagement in risk-taking behaviors, or significant social-emotional difficulties. The Youth Opportunities Unlimited programs provide support to students who would otherwise fall through the cracks including programs for youth who have been suspended or expelled.

The Coalition for Bedford Youth was formed in 1998 and it is a student group made up of youth leaders from Bedford. Our main high school group, CBY@BHS is made of students in grades 9-12 and our sister group CBY@RAL is grades 7 and 8. We work to bring the community together through community service and events. There is a place for everyone at CBY.

Cocaine Anonymous is a Fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from their addiction. The best way to reach someone is to speak to them on a common level. The members of C.A. are all recovering addicts who maintain their individual sobreity by working with others. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances.

Provides nutritious food resources to income eligible adults 60 years of age or older to supplement participants’ monthly nutritional needs. Packages include items such as dry beans, cheese, juices, dry milk, cereals, rice or pasta, canned fruits and vegetables and meats. Pick up pre-packages once a month from resource centers including Manchester and Nashua, at one of our satellite sites, or residents of participating housing communities may pick up from that housing delivery drop-site.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and nutritious foods to help keep pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to age 5 healthy and strong, making sure families have what they need to live a healthy life.

Connor’s Climb Foundation provides suicide prevention education by raising awareness. Tools and resources focused on the vulnerable age group of 10-24 year-olds, to New Hampshire and bordering communities.
