NH Legal Assistance (NHLA) Housing Justice Project.

Represent individuals in cases involving termination of utilities, evictions from public housing or Section 8 vouchers, foreclosures, property taxes, fair housing/housing discrimination complaints, and housing accessibility issues for persons with mobility disabilities. Provides comprehensive outpatient care that includes all the services needed for opioid recovery in one low fee. Custom plans are led by a physician and adapted to each individual’s needs. Opiod addiction treatment services: Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT); Counseling: individual one-on-one, group, and family; Medically supervised withdrawal; Medical exams to ensure safety; outpatient services; referrals.

988 is a national model that has been introduced to replace 911 for behavioral health emergencies, including mental health and substance use emergencies. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – including holidays. Contact by phone, text, or chat to access vital support services when you need them most. You will be connected to a response team in the states associated with your area code.

New Hampshire’s Community Navigator Program was powered by an ecosystem of experienced small business and microenterprise technical assistance providers across the state. Small businesses could gain access to resources and services at no charge.

Administers programs and services for eligible NH residents, including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to provide financial, medical, food / nutritional assistance, help with child care costs and obtaining safe housing.

Use this locator to find agencies and individual practitioners offering substance use disorder services, including evaluation (this is a critical first step to determine the level of treatment needed), withdrawal management (detox), outpatient counseling, residential treatment, recovery supports, and other types of services for people experiencing problems with alcohol and other drug use, including addiction.

The Food Trust’s Cooking Matters® is helping end childhood hunger by inspiring families to make healthy, affordable food choices. Our hands-on educational programs teach parents, caregivers and adults with limited food budgets to shop for and cook healthy meals. Cooking Matters courses meet for two hours once a week for six weeks and are offered in several formats:

Through hands on cooking and discussion participants learn about cooking skills, meal prep, grocery shopping, food budgeting, and nutrition. Participants also take home a grocery bag each week to practice their new skills.

We believe everyone should have a safe, warm place to call home and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps make that possible for those in our community in need. Thanks to funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, New Hampshire residents who are elderly, disabled and low-income are provided financial assistance needed to pay for vital heating and utility expenses through the colder months. LIHEAP also offers case management to develop a plan to achieve increased financial self-sufficiency to avoid energy-related emergencies such as running out of heating fuel.

Provide harm reduction supplies directly to people who use drugs, support other harm reduction programs in the state, and coordinate care for complex cases. Advocate for the expansion of beneficial policies and call for an end to policies that harm, criminalize, or stigmatize the populations we serve. Educate communities and organizations to build a baseline understanding of harm reduction and evidence-based practices.

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 to 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.

Programs help students focus on staying in school and learning skills for entering the work force. Schooling is available at Manchester School of Technology and Manchester Memorial High School.
