New Hampshire residents who want to quit tobacco can call 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669) para Espanol: 1-800-833-5256, for hearing impaired: 1-800-833-1477, to get access to a specially trained Quit Coach. Once enrolled, your Quit Coach will help you choose nicotine replacement medicines and offer ways to stop cravings and avoid triggers — at no cost to you! QuitNow-NH also offers free tobacco education materials (pamphlets, posters, etc.) to physicians and clinicians, and to organizations across the State.

Creating a roadmap to successful employment after a setback can seem overwhelming on your own, but with support and guidance from Community Action Partnership Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties (CAPHR), you can re-enter the workforce with a new set of skills and confidence for sustained success. CAPHR’s Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult program provides eligible adults with professional career counseling and access to a wide range of employment and training related services. This can include up to $6,500 of tuition assistance and $1,500 of support services that can help eliminate various barriers to employment. This helps participants increase their earning potential and helps NH employers meet their workforce needs.

Alcohol court referral program, anger management, crisis intervention & referral, fire safe intervention, restitution, substance abuse evaluation, Youth Educational Shoplifting program. Process: (1) Identify and Refer – Youth in need of support can be referred by parents, teachers, law enforcement, court, DCYF, or through self-referral. (2) Intake and Planning – Youth and their parent/guardian meet with an OYS staff member and discuss what is going on and discuss further resources. (3) Ongoing Support – OYS staff continue to check in and support youth and parents as long as needed throughout the entire year, not just the school year. Eligibility: Clients are residents of Manchester, NH or currently attending a Manchester, NH middle or high school.

Provide non-clinical, free-of-charge, peer support services for adults managing their mental health and recovery. Locations in Manchester and Derry.

ORIS’s diverse team combines new expertise in case management, and youth development with cultural and linguistic skills that meet new Americans where they are and help each family and individual meet their goals. ORIS works with new Americans long term, as they strive to learn English, find employment, understand American healthcare, banking systems, etc. We recognize that many new Americans will take years to fully adapt to the systems that govern basic needs in the US, even under the best conditions.

Clothing and other items necessary to support Families in Transition program participants are put aside to fulfill those needs directly. If our direct needs for programs are met, items are sold in the store. 100% of store proceeds go directly towards supporting and funding our mission to prevent and break the cycle of homelessness, helping to support housing programs and services for people around New Hampshire. Our housing program participants also receive store vouchers for clothing and goods they need. On average, we supply more than $1,000 worth of merchandise each month to families and individuals in our programs.

The Palace Theatre is a non-profit performing arts venue that hosts its own professional company, youth, and teen programs as well as presenting acts. We’re committed to achieving our mission through preserving the historic facilities of the theatre, responding creatively to the cultural and entertainment needs of the community, and governing in a fiscally responsible and strategic manner. Our beautiful 834-seat theatre is the only one of its kind in the Manchester area and the staff who work here are committed to preserving it. All administrative offices are located adjacent to the theatre, including two large dance studios used by all performers of The Palace Theatre.
