On Saturday, September 21, Makin’ It Happen had the opportunity to participate in Manchester Proud’s and Manchester School District’s annual Celebrate ED! The event captured the true essence of what it means to take pride in education while celebrating all who are involved in creating a thriving learning environment. The day was filled with school performances and awards acknowledging outstanding students and faculty members. Even in the rain, the Manchester School District’s excitement brightened the entire day!
Our team was able to put our three E’s into action: Educate, Engage, and Empower. We were able to engage students in displaying their school pride through an activity taking pictures with their respective school logos. We educated parents and guardians on medicine safety by disseminating Deterra Drug Deactivation & Disposal Systems along with vital information for keeping their families safe. Lastly, we empowered others to take action through encouraging participation in one of our various mental health training opportunities! However, with all these highlights, we suspect that the Play-Doh was the biggest hit among the crowd!
Thank you Manchester Proud and Manchester School District for hosting and including us in another fabulous event! We were fortunate to be able to connect with hundreds of students, parents/guardians, and community members and look forward to future events!
