Last week, Tracy and Kay from the Community Impact team at Makin’ It Happen had the opportunity to join Goffstown High School’s Youth Forum for their kickoff meeting of the school year! The forum is made up of students, school faculty, and community partners who come together to gain insight into how to better foster a safe learning environment and to invigorate youth to become leaders in their school and community.
This meeting allowed students and adult mentors to become more familiar with each other and to inform students about unique ways they can become involved! Through wanting to participate in more ways to make an impact, these youth are already so influential! The students ranged from athletes, theater members, outreach members to delegated student school board members.
We are so inspired by how involved the young people are in our communities and look forward to continuing to support youth forum and advancing the development of resiliency in our youth, families and communities through our mission!
