The NH Governor’s Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) initiative is aimed at promoting individual wellness by creating work environments that further mental and physical well-being of employees, by proactively preventing substance misuse and supporting recovery from substance use disorders in the workplace and community.
With an estimated 60,000 NH residents in recovery from addiction, RFW was launched in 2018 to encourage healthy and safe working environments that support recovery, create positive change, and eliminate stigma. The benefits of participating include, getting connected to information, receiving support from Public Health Networks, retaining a healthier workforce, and receiving designation as a Recovery Friendly Workplace by Governor Sununu.
