One Drug Takeback Day, 2 Locations!

On Saturday, April 27, the biannual national event, DEA Prescription Drug Takeback Day took place to support the safe disposal of unneeded medications. Makin’ It Happen was ecstatic to witness and contribute to the success at two drop-off locations this year, with team members Mary and Ashley at Elliot At Rivers Edge, while Tracy and Kay were at the Hooksett Police Department. This year, Makin’ It Happen was proud to partner with the Manchester Police Department, Elliot At Rivers Edge, The National Guard, and the Hooksett Police Department to coordinate this event!

DEA Drug Takeback Day upheld its tradition of positive impact, as a vast number of community members came to dispose of their medications, receive information, and obtain a Deterra Drug Deactivation System for the convenience of safe medicine disposal at home. We also had special guest appearances from Congressman Pappas and DEA New England Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Paul Spera!
