We got some exciting news yesterday!!!

Mary Forsythe-Taber, the Chief Visionary of Makin’ It Happen, received a commendation from Governor Sununu.  Mary has been a major advocate in the establishment and continuation of the Governor’s Youth Advisory Council on Substance Misuse and Prevention (GYAC), as well as a dedicated advisor to the members of the Council since its inception in 2017.

Mary was instrumental in starting the group and keeping youth engaged and motivated to achieve the Council’s mission and purpose. During her time as an advisor, Mary shared her expertise in the field of prevention, and meaningful conversations on the topics of substance misuse and prevention.   She has been a proven force in supporting and empowering youth leaders in our great state!

The Governor stated ‘Mary is an excellent example of the importance of having a compassionate role model present in directing youth to make positive change, and her efforts are sincerely appreciated.

We are so proud of Mary for receiving this well-deserved recognition!  Well done!
