4-H is the youth educational program of UNH Cooperative Extension. 4-H provides a supportive setting for all youth to pursue the projects and interests they love, all while serving the community and gaining valuable life skills. The mission of 4-H is to help youth acquire knowledge, develop life skills, and form attitudes to enable them to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society. The 4 H’s stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.

Open 9am-5pm daily. The EC operates as a centralized service hub open 7 days a week for Manchester residents facing housing instability. We provide essentials like showers, bathrooms, meals, and clothing. On-site local providers assist with substance abuse treatment, mental health support, medical care, housing navigation, and employment services. Our objective is to dismantle barriers to housing such as missing vital records, identification, income, and challenging histories related to housing, credit, and criminality. Additionally, the EC hub aggregates data on homelessness, fostering a city-wide understanding of its causes and effective interventions.

Shelter Hours: 5pm to 9am
Dinner is provided to guests registered to a bed at 6pm.
Please call anytime or walk in prior to 10pm to access a bed opening.

The Shelter provides on-site meals, storage for tents and personal belongings, and provides 40 beds in a communal open space for sleeping. Guests have access to private showers and bathrooms, which are wheelchair accessible. Guests must be age 18 and older, and there is a daily bed hold policy. The Engagement Center provides on-site local providers to assist with substance abuse treatment, mental health support, medical care, housing navigation, and employment services. Overflow space available during emergency weather events. Winter Warming Station Services: The 39 Beech Street Winter Warming station includes services such as bathrooms, showers, laundry, hygiene supplies, clothing, snacks, coffee, water, and more.

Shelter Hours: 24/7 for registered guests (specifically serving older adults and medically frail individuals).
Engagement Center Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Daily.
Winter Warming Station Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Daily (typically operates from December 1st through March 1st).

Services: The Shelter provides services for unhoused older and medically-frail adults. Services include on-site meals, storage for personal belongings, laundry, access to private showers, and bathrooms, which are wheelchair accessible and more.

603 Legal Aid is a civil legal aid provider offering legal representation, advocacy, and education. In partnership with volunteer attorneys and community organizations, 603 Legal Aid works to make justice a reality for and with people who experience economic hardship that threatens their basic human needs. 603 Legal Aid helps low-income people by providing free civil legal advice and information by telephone, by representing someone in court, or through a referral to a volunteer attorney or another program for legal help.

A Christian outreach ministry for someone to qualify for our transformational living program they must be chronically homeless, willing to take steps towards sobriety, willing to work on mental health stability, and demonstrate a true desire to change the patterns of homelessness, addiction, and illness in their lives.

Hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sunday 10:100am-12:00pm.

The Acorn Center was developed, and is owned and run by, professionals who have decades of combined experience within the fields of mental health and addiction. The goal of this program is to offer clients a whole-being approach to wellness rather than focus solely on recovery.

Adult & Teen Challenge New England and New Jersey has learned that the best framework for successful recovery is our long-term (10 to 12 month) faith-based addiction treatment program. We aim to help our residents to find and use their personal faith in God to empower them to understand that they can take control of their addiction and have an accomplished life.

The Adult Protection Law requires any person who has a reason to believe that a vulnerable adult has been subjected to abuse, neglect, exploitation or self-neglect to make a report immediately to the Bureau of Adult & Aging Care Services (BAAS).

Al-Anon is a mutual support group of peers who share their experience in applying the Al-Anon principles to problems related to the effects of a problem drinker in their lives. Al-Anon also offers Alateen meetings. Alateen is a peer support group for teens who are struggling with the effects of someone else’s problem drinking. Meetings are offered at locations throughout the state and online multiple days a week.

Offers individual counseling and substance use treatment to adults focusing on mental health, communication, personal adjustment issues, DWI aftercare, and LADC Evaluations. Evaluations, individual outpatient counseling, 18+.

Insurance: Most private insurance, sliding fee scale, self-pay. Telehealth offered.
