The Manchester Community Resource Center (MCRC) has begun accepting names of young adults that are interested in the 6-week summer employment program this year.

MCRC in conjunction with the City of Manchester operated the SYEP, a six week employment and training program for Manchester young adults, ages 14 – 24 years. The program combined 6 hours per week of instructor-led basic academics, team building exercises, leadership skills training and job readiness skills training with 18 hours per week of job skills training.  A city beautification component provided the job readiness, work maturities and specific skills training. Projects were identified through the Parks & Recreation Department. Wages range from $7.25 to $8.25.

Interested individuals must be between the ages of 14-24 years and they must reside within the City’s designed NRSA, as identified in the map above and here: CBDO – NRSA Map15-19

Eligible individuals must sign up in person at MCRC (434 Lake Ave) before the deadline of June 14th. They will receive an invitation to attend an informational meeting on July 2nd.
