Greater Manchester Collects Over 500 Pounds at the 29th DEA Drug Take Back!

Makin’ It Happen had a blast alongside our student volunteers to support the Manchester and Hooksett Police Departments at their Rx drop-off locations for the 29th DEA Drug Take Back! Makin’ It Happen provided Deterra Drug Deactivation Bags and other helpful resources for participants to take home with them. Semi-annually, these drug takeback events encourage prescription drug safety for all. Disposing of unneeded medication is a crucial part of substance misuse prevention.

Nationally, 620,321 pounds (310Tons) of unneeded drugs were turned in to be safely disposed. Across Greater Manchester, over 500 lbs. were collected. Here is the breakdown:
