When Sofia from the Waypoint Kinship Program in Manchester, NH, shared that there was just one week to fulfill 59 children’s holiday wishes, our Community Impact in the 603 Manager, Emma, jumped into action.
After thoughtfully curating an Amazon registry based on each child’s wish, Emma rallied the Community Impact in the 603 team and received amazing community support. As an organization, we shared the registry with our partners and community members, showing what is possible when a community comes together.
Each child received their gifts this past Friday at St. George’s Church in Manchester during the Kinship Program’s holiday party. The event included nonprofit tables from Makin’ It Happen, UpReach, CASA, and Step Up Parents, craft stations for kids, a free clothing shopping experience for all ages, dinner, and, of course, a visit from Santa.
The Waypoint Kinship Program provides resources, including emotional support, education, guidance, referrals, and follow-ups, to help grandparents and other caregivers who are raising children. Learn more about the program here: Grandparent and Kinship Resources | Waypoint
