Yesterday marked the start of our Wellness On Wheels events for the summer season at Gossler Park Elementary School! The afternoon included many of our partners who instilled access to resources and information regarding health and wellness for Manchester residents. The community displayed “beating the heat” in 90-degree weather conditions, with the event being filled with children and families eager to participate!
Along with the school’s simultaneous event, “Earn A Bike,” where 4th Grade students who completed a set of challenges throughout the year were awarded a bike donated by Queen City Bike Collaborative, there were many fun activities for all! Some of the fun included meeting the Manchester Police Department’s mini horse, Millie, shaved ice from Kona Ice, and food from Don Quijote Restaurant! For an additional highlight, the festivities included a raffle for adults who completed a survey to have the opportunity to win $100 Walmart gift card!
As we know none of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, we would like to personally thank:
