This past Saturday, Makin’ It Happen team members had the opportunity to take part in the annual Hope Festival hosted by Hope for NH Recovery! This celebration of recovery took place at Veterans Park and involved all members of the Manchester community who have been impacted by recovery in some way. The event brought together a large group of people and highlights how important community is in supporting recovery journeys.
We were able to hand out over 50 harm reduction Deterra Bags, promoting safe use, storage, and disposal of medications.
The highlight of the day was inviting attendees to sign our banner titled, “Recovery Gave Me,” which people noted the meaningful things that recovery has provided them. Among the responses were both people in recovery and their family members who were able to show their pride in sharing in their loved one’s journey.
Thank you Hope For NH Recovery for coordinating an amazing and impactful event! We are grateful to have been able to connect with those who attended and look forward to continued support and involvement in recovery.
